In addition to registering for the ASAP 1-unit course, students are responsible for visiting ASAP in building 508, room 2125 (Tanimura & Antle Library, 2nd floor) to complete the Semester Long Request form. This form provides course information and available days/times. If students do not complete this form early in the semester, you will not be able to obtain a meeting day/time with a tutor and will not receive credit. All tutoring sessions will be held in building 508, room 2132 (Tanimura & Antle Library, 2nd floor).

Course Description:

Provides supplemental reading comprehension support for students needing assistance with reading strategies in upper division writing courses. Workshop topics range from practice in reading comprehension, and reading rate to negotiating academic text. Students work with a tutor from the Academic Skills Achievement Program (ASAP). Groups meet one hour per week. Credit/no credit only.
