Course Description:

(Formerly titled Intr. African Diaspora Studies) Examines how historical, cultural, and social processes have influenced the development of African diaspora communities in the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Special attention will be given to the impact of race and culture on the formation of diasporic communities. Satisfies the ULR requirements in Literature & Popular Culture and Culture & Equity. (Offered every year.)
