Combines perspectives, concepts, and methods of physical, biological, and social sciences in a holistic analysis and evaluation of issues related to resource access, use, pollution, and conservation by human communities locally and globally. Used to denote equivalent courses fulfilled through study abroad, field studies, approved upper-division ESSP courses, and approved graduate courses at MIIS to fulfill GS MLO 9.
