Practices developing visual comprehension, signing, writing with gloss system, and using basic expressive and receptive skills in laboratory setting. Studies readings and videos. Classes and extracurricular activities teach the aspects of ASL and the deaf culture. Requires active participation in instructor-coordinated multimedia and online activities as a mandatory component. (Offered every semester.)
