More Information

Course Description:

Presents higher degree of difficulty, characterized by softness and hardness complementing each other and powered by supple whole-body twining and coiling spiral force called Chan su jin or "Silk Reeling." Expands skills to attain a high level of physical fitness via lower stances, and changes in speed, rhythm, and tempo. Includes explosive releases of power that are mostly absent from the practice of other systems of Taijiquan. Like all Taiji, Chen style practices graceful, slow, light movements while preserving and retaining both martial aspects of self-defense and health benefits. Credit/no credit.
