Course Description:

Examines the issues and solutions involved in the education of students from diverse language backgrounds. Develops an understanding of the historical, social, legal, and political foundations of language minority education. Explores the theoretical foundations of language acquisition and develops strategies and approaches for working effectively with English learners. Includes both coursework and fieldwork weekly. Cross-listed with Ed 628. (Offered fall semester and as interest warrants.)
