Course Description:

This course provides a technical overview of the UNIX/Linux operating system with a strong hands-on focus. The topics this course will cover includes basic UNIX/Linux commands, file and directory manipulation and access permissions, text editing, networking, pipes and filters, an introduction to available shell environments and user customization and an introduction to shell scripting. (Offered only as interest warrants.)
