Examines how progress in science and technology has affected the cultural, economic and physical ecology of the regions to be visited in the upcoming cruise. Special focus on ethical and social dimensions of technology-based change. Includes classroom instruction and two-month study voyage on board the TS Golden Bear. Also see ESSP 272, CST 482.
