MPA 307: Audio Production

Description:

Course will study and learn professional production techniques using both analogue and digital technologies. Students will study the recording of live instruments and voice in acoustic settings. Intermediate and advanced audio theory, signal flow, acoustics, and digital and analogue signal processing will be studied. Analysis of compositions and arrangement considerations will be discussed. Course provides and introduction to the MTA 980 mixing console. Techniques in multi-track recording, microphone design and application, signal processing, mixing and mastering.
